    This course is designed for the patrol officer who has around three years or more of experience. This course will prepare the patrol officer to obtain the quick admission from the suspect moments after their first encounter. The patrol officer will learn techniques to actively listen for guilty responses and look for non-verbal behavior indicative of deception. Most training courses will show you what to look for. This course will teach you how to exploit the subject and get a truthful response furthering your investigation. Getting the quick confession on the street is the goal of every good street cop. This course will bring the veteran officer to a higher level of proficiency.

    Instructor: Chris Chute

    Christopher Chute has twenty years of Law Enforcement experience. Most of his career was spent in investigations. He is a Captain with the New Britain Police Department (CT) and the commander of the New Britain Basic Recruit Academy. Chris is a Certified instructor for CT P.O.S.T. as well as an Adjunct Professor at Central Connecticut State University and Post University. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Public Administration and a Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Information Technology.

    Chris is a Certified Polygraph Examiner with more than 13 years of experience conducting criminal examinations. He is also P.O.S.T. authorized to conduct pre-employment screenings in Connecticut. He graduated the Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School in 2003. He is a member of the American Association of Police Polygraphists and the current president of the Connecticut Polygraph Association. Chris has received countless hours of continuing education in the areas of Polygraph and Interviewing and Interrogation. He has obtained numerous confessions from murderers, pedophiles, burglars, arsonists, etc.

    Chris has taught "Street Interrogation" and "Interviewing and Interrogation for Investigators" for several years. His classes are dynamic and entertaining. The course material is brought to the students through lecture, demonstration, videos, and role playing. Chris's methodology to encounter suspects shortly after committing their crimes is "street-tested" and guaranteed to get increase the student's success in getting the quick confession.
